The McMaster University Weather Station (MUWS) is operated by the Hydrometeorology and Climatology Lab in the School of Earth, Environment and Society (SEES). The MUWS is supervised by Dr. Altaf Arain, associate professor in SEES. The primary purpose of this weather station is to support undergraduate and graduate teaching, and serve the campus and surrounding community in west Hamilton. The station was established in October 2007, to measure, log, and make available a number of meteorological variables. Those using the MUWS data are encouraged to read about the sensor details.
